TeleoLogic is a warehouse of essays where I will progressively explore origins through a teleological filter.
Background Considerations: Arguments concerning teleological causes are typically coupled with all sorts of extraneous baggage, some relevant, some not. To properly think about such arguments, we should become aware of the various assumptions and dynamics inherent in such disputes. Some essays will address such issues.
Biotic Reality: These essays address data that nicely fit within a teleological perspective. This perspective allows for (but does not mandate) the following perspectives:
TeleoLogic will thus represent an ongoing attempt to catalog some recent research/hypotheses as they fit within this three-fold perspective. This will allow us to gauge the growing strength of the teleological case (i.e., adding to the cumulative weight of positive evidence for a teleological viewpoint) and help us to see the pragmatic potential of applying a teleological template to generate further research and understanding about the biological world.
Warning: Buyer beware. The internet is loaded with all kinds of kooky theories and arguments and who can say I am any different? My advice would be simply this: don't trust me as any type of authority and balance my views with those who don't agree with me. If you are interested in origins, learn as much biology as possible and then attempt to arrive at your own informed conclusions about the arguments presented on this site and elsewhere. And grains of salt come in handy.
